Grumpy Players

In sevral matches this last week I would say I have even witnessed what I would call "Game rage" thats where some one goes off on a complete tirade at a players or a single player for apparently no definable reason . . . I have gotten used to the odd drunken verbal insults, but in the last week or so it seems to have developed .
Is it indicative of a response toward the direction of the game, or are we all just grumpier ?

Also disabling chat if it irritates you.
There were, are and always will be folks that just cannot keep their mouth shut.
As soon as somebody utters something else than tactical information I mute him.

Lol, that is the exsample of how some "people hero" walks into gunfire exchange... in my case was when behind is WHM-6R and KGC-000 wearing dual RAC's-5 and gets every single bullet from both sides. And me and the "crab" got FF penalty. Positioning, map knowledge would help, but cure is not invented yet.
The only "grumpy" is walking into friendly fire.

Might be problem is not in players, but inside of you.

Block last I remember required you to first Friend the person THEN Block them.
One reasons why I refuse to use it, silly way of implementing it.

Welcome to my level.
I have been getting this often enough for well over a year and half to two years.
I admit I get annoyed, in some of my videos I can be heard doing so. Difference is, almost all of my annoyance is kept off comms/chat.

You can block anybody immediatelly when clicking his name in the game roster.
Its the same menu where you can report somebody.
It is bugged though. When oyu meet the same guy again his mic is still open even though he is muted.
So you have to manually mute him again.

Spencil: Hi team!
Antares102: blocked
Spencil:
We all get grumpy, it's a mildly competitive multiplayer game. I'd bet all my cbills that there isn't a single pilot past their first 25 games who hasn't got mad at their team... or their enemies for that matter. I think our true worth as a teammate is in how well we can resist and overcome our inclination to rage when things don't go our way; by the same token, it's that emotional control that prevents us from becoming overzealous and over-extending when we think we have the advantage.
but above everything else, maintaining a positive attitude --or at least resisting a negative attitude-- is the best way to set ourselves up for a successful match; as always, if we have nothing constructive to say, say ******* nothing

Well, lets say I block somebody if he starts to get annoying like when the team does not move the way he wants in the beginngin and starts to b|tch around.

I know, I just played with the exact wording for the giggles
I try not to mute unless they're mic spamming or hot micing (sp?), because there's always a slim chance they'll let slip a nugget of valuable information when they're pitching an itch... usually as they're getting shot to ribbons. It's when constant moaning starts interfering with actual information exchange is where I think we all tend to draw the line.
I should note that I'm a relentless optimist: I'll be the last left alive in a stick of a mech and firmly believe I can still win, right up until I explode; I'll hold out hope that tilted-buddy can get over themselves and tell me something useful
